Our Story

We are a family owned and operated company. Even though we have only been in this location for eleven years, we have been in the fireplace industry for over twenty-five years. My father, Lance Kasten,  started as an installer technician and had worked for several fireplace dealers. He convinced me, his daughter Kimberleigh Thalheimer, to come work for him at his company Stove Doctor. After several years of working with my father, I met my husband, Bill Thalheimer, and he married into the business. About 14 years ago my father retired and Bill and I bought Stove Doctor from him. Since then, our company has grown to over 24,000 customers and is still growing. Two of our daughter are also involved in our company, our eldest daughter Morgan is our Sales Manager and another of our daughters Kayla assists us as our Social Media Specialist. Our installers Ben and Jeremy may not technically be family but they have became very close with us and we are proud to have them as a part of the team. We take pride in listening to our customers and selling them what they need rather than what would make the biggest profit.
